Elisabeth Hasselbeck Decides to Leave The View

It turns out that Joy Behar isn’t the only one who is leaving “The View.”   The cute and quirky host Elisabeth Hasselbeck is also jumping ship from the ABC daytime talk show.  Her last day on the show is going to be Wednesday (today).   Apparently Hasselbeck will be replacing Gretchen Carlson on “Fox and Friends.”
Barbara Walters issued this statement: “We have had 10 wonderful years with Elisabeth, and she will now be swimming in new waters. We will miss her and wish her everything good.”
With Behar leaving, and Walters eventually retiring (next year) we’re not sure what’s going to happen with “The View.”  We’re sure that Whoopi Goldberg can hold her own with the sure but it’s not going to be easy.   Rarely do people even remember that Hasselbeck got her TV start on the show Survivor where she reached the final four nearly 5 years ago.
It’s impressive that she parlayed that into becoming a conservative voice on television.  Fox News will be happy to have the pretty and smart blond on their show.
